A cultural seal in Mevlana's city: GİF Konya

Konya… For centuries, the center of wisdom, knowledge, and art. This ancient city, which has become a scientific and spiritual attraction point with Mevlana's call of "Come, whoever you are," is not only the birthplace of Mevlana but also a cradle of knowledge and culture where many great thinkers, mystics, scholars, and statesmen have emerged. Now, this deep-rooted heritage is meeting a new project that will support the development of young people through art, culture, and education.

As TÜRGEV (Türkiye Gençlik ve Eğitime Hizmet Vakfı), we are providing a new venue with the Güzel İşler Fabrikası GİF Konya project that will present art, culture, and education together to young people. The center, which will be opened on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Selçuklu Mahmut Sami Ramazanoğlu Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, aims to enable young people to express themselves through the transformative power of art and culture and to be equipped with the skills required by the age.

The promotional event, which will take place with the participation of our Board of Directors President, Attorney Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, has been enriched with artistic workshops, events, and inspiring speeches that will attract students' interest. The program, which will take place between 12:00 and 19:00, will be marked by artistic workshops and a special concert. Young people will have the opportunity to discover and develop themselves through art and culture.

A common language through art and culture

Inspired by Mevlana's words, "Those who speak the same language do not understand each other, but those who share the same feelings do," GİF Konya will offer young people the opportunity to discover and develop themselves through art and culture.

As part of the work initiated in October 2024, educational activities based on art and culture have gained momentum at Mahmut Sami Ramazanoğlu Anatolian Imam Hatip High School and Seyit Ulugülyağcu Imam Hatip Middle School. GİF Konya will provide young people with the opportunity to develop their creative skills in an inspiring atmosphere and will raise them as productive individuals of the future.
