The third of the GİF Spring Meetings, held in the 30th year of TÜRGEV, will bring together young girls with art, culture, music, academia, and technology in Istanbul, Ankara, Konya, and Silopi from May 15 to 17.
This year, the third GİF Spring Meetings are being realized as one of the important stops in TÜRGEV's 30-year journey in education and youth. We aim to introduce our production-oriented education model to a wider audience with the understanding of creating a safe environment where young girls can discover themselves.
The GİF Education Model Will Be Experienced Over Three Days
As part of the program to be held simultaneously at all GİF campuses, participants will have the opportunity to experience different art forms, network, and witness inspiring meetings. The GİF Spring Meetings will not only be an event but also offer a holistic experience where young girls are directly involved in production processes.
The Central Meeting Point of the GİF Spring Meetings: Safveti Pasha
At the GİF Safveti Pasha Campus, located as the main meeting point in Istanbul, various workshops, talks, and events will be held over three days. Participants will be able to take part in production-oriented art workshops such as woodblock printing, Palestine-themed jewelry design, pyrography, candle painting, marbling, and candle making.
Additionally, a talk titled "Technology and Transformation," a session on "Women and Education from the Business World," and a "Family Year Panel" will also be held. Performances by GİF music students and an art exhibition featuring student works will meet with visitors.
In the "GİF Street" area to be set up in the campus garden, the GİF education model and campuses will be introduced; information will be provided about the career center and PDM activities.
GİF Vezneciler Will Contribute with Art and Music
The GİF Vezneciler Campus will contribute to the Spring Meetings with the exhibition "The Story of Istanbul Through the Lens of Women" prepared by photography club students. In addition, a glass art workshop and a music performance by the GİF Orchestra will also meet with visitors as part of the program.
Cultural and Art Meetings Will Be Held in Ankara
At the GİF Ankara Campus, calligraphy events, a printmaking exhibition, a coffee festival, and transparency printing workshops will be held. Additionally, the Ankara Women’s Orchestra Practice Team will perform a music concert.
