TÜRGEV Academy 2nd Student Symposium to be held at Marmara University Faculty of Theology on May 17
Following the first symposium held in 2019, this second edition will feature a broader scope. The program will focus on Islamic Studies and Social Sciences, featuring interdisciplinary presentations and offering a platform for young academics to present and discuss their original research in a scholarly environment.
The symposium will consist of two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Evaluation panels to be held after each session will provide students with the opportunity to deepen their work with expert feedback.
Among this year’s noteworthy presentations are:
“The Right to Be Forgotten in the Digital Age: Its Impact on the Right to Privacy, Freedom of Expression, and Public Interest”
“Modern Psychology and Debates on Islam-Based Psychology”
“The Commodification of Breast Milk and the Formula Industry”
These studies reflect socially relevant, interdisciplinary themes.
Opening speeches will be delivered by TÜRGEV Chairwoman Atty. Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz and esteemed academics from Marmara University.
This meaningful gathering welcomes stakeholders from academic circles, civil society, and think tanks. Participation is free of charge. Registration will begin at 09:00 on the day of the event.
