    Applications for our secondary education dormitories will be announced on www.turgev.org once the LGS placement results are released, and applications for our higher education dormitories will be announced on www.turgev.org once the YKS placement results are released. You can follow our website for updates.

  • When and how do you apply for a dormitory?

    For our secondary education dormitories, applications will be announced on our website www.turgev.org once the LGS placement results are released, and for our higher education dormitories once the YKS placement results are released. You can submit your application as a registered user via the “dormitory application” option on the website.

    Master's and doctoral students can apply to and register at TÜRGEV dormitories. When submitting a dormitory application at www.turgev.org, academic level can be specified by selecting the education level option.

  • What should be done in case of an incorrect dormitory application?

  • I want to get information about general dormitory registration procedures.

    Our registration dates will be announced on www.turgev.org. You can select the dormitory you want to apply for and complete your application by clicking the “dormitory application” button.   • My sibling and I stay in different dormitories. Can I register at the dormitory where my sibling stays?

    You need to submit your request to the dormitory administration during the transfer announcement dates for evaluation.

  • Can I choose the dormitory where I will stay?

    According to legal regulations, you can register at a dormitory in the province where your registered school is located. When applying, you can create your dormitory request based on the province where your school is located.

  • How can I get information about the facilities of the dormitory I will be transferring to?

    You can review TÜRGEV dormitories at www.turgev.org and contact our dormitories for detailed information.

  • My transfer request has been approved; by when do I need to move?

    You can move once your dormitory administrators have completed the necessary arrangements. For detailed information, you need to consult with the dormitory administration.

  • When can I take my belongings to the dormitory I am transferring to?

    Scholarship allocation covers one academic term. It is re-evaluated every year. You can get information about the scholarship application by contacting the administration of the dormitory you are transferring to. However, in case of transfer during the term (such as school relocation, lateral transfer, etc.), your scholarship continues by being assigned to the dormitory you transfer to.

  • When can I bring my stuff to the dormitory where I have been transferred?

    When your transfer request is approved, you can start your necessary processes by completing the purchase procedure with the information of your dormitory administration.

  • Do you provide support for my relocation due to transfer?

    The purchase of belongings and the moving process are the responsibility of the student and their guardian.

  • When do the dormitories open?

    Our dormitories officially operate between September 16 and June 16. Opening dates are announced to students based on the start dates of high schools and universities. (The pandemic period is an exception and is managed according to official announcements from the Ministry of Health.)

  • Why can’t we enter late?

    Dormitory entry and exit times are determined based on the student’s safety and their ability to benefit from the educational activities held in the dormitory.

  • Which of your dormitories have single rooms?

  • Why can't two people stay in the same room?

    According to the official regulation, the number of people per room is determined so that it will not be arranged as two.

  • Why is participation in study hours mandatory?

    Your participation in study hours is important to improve your success in your courses and to enable effective tracking of your studies.

  • I have classes at the weekend; can I enter the dormitory late?

    You need to submit your class schedule and parent’s petition to the dormitory administration for evaluation. The dormitory administration will inform you about the result of your request.

  • Does TÜRGEV have dormitories abroad?

  • How can international students apply for accommodation or housing requests?

    You can submit your dormitory application at www.turgev.org.

  • Can foreign students stay in your dormitories?

    Yes, students who are enrolled in a high school or university in Türkiye can stay.

  • I stayed in a TÜRGEV dormitory. Can I obtain a student certificate indicating my stay there?

    A student certificate is not included in our official procedures. However, you may communicate your request by emailing [email protected] or by contacting the administration of the dormitory where you stayed.

  • Does TÜRGEV have a dormitory in the city where my university is located?

    You can visit www.turgev.org to access information about the provinces where TÜRGEV provides services and the affiliated dormitories.

  • I am looking for a dormitory close to the institution where I am doing my internship. Can I stay in your dormitories on a part-time basis?

    Internship accommodation requests can be submitted through the TÜRGEV Support System by selecting the Dormitory category and providing proper documentation to justify the request. Responses will be provided in accordance with the relevant regulations.

  • How can I see the physical conditions and facilities of your dormitory?

  • Can we visit your dormitory?

    You can schedule a visit by contacting the dormitory you wish to visit through the phone number or email address available at www.turgev.org. We will inform you of the date and time when you can visit the dormitory.

  • I previously stayed in the dormitory during my undergraduate studies. I have now enrolled in a second undergraduate program. Can I apply for the dormitory again?

    You can apply. For information regarding the relevant procedure, please contact the dormitory administration to which you are applying.

  • I had previously left your dormitory. Can I apply again?

  • I had registered for the dormitory, but later cancelled my registration. Can I apply for the dormitory again next year?

    You can apply again. You may obtain information about the relevant procedure from the dormitory administration to which you are applying.

  • I applied for the dormitory and was informed that I am on the waiting list. When will the situation of students on the waiting list be clarified?

    When a vacancy becomes available in the dormitory, you will be contacted for an interview based on your position on the waiting list.

  • Can Erasmus or Farabi students apply for short-term accommodation in the dormitories?

    Yes, you can apply. If you are a student and meet the requirements, you may be subject to our standard procedures.

  • Can I freeze my dormitory registration? Can all my rights be deferred until next year?

    Dormitory registration cannot be frozen. If you graduate or leave the dormitory, your application will be re-evaluated upon your return.

  • I am not a student. Can I stay at your dormitories?

    According to official regulations, individuals who do not present a valid student certificate cannot register for the dormitories.

  • Has my dormitory application been completed?

    You can obtain the latest information about the status of your application by contacting the dormitory administration to which you applied.

  • Are guests of students staying in the dormitories (including family members) allowed to stay overnight?

    Overnight accommodation for guests is not provided in our dormitories.

  • I am staying at your dormitory and working in a paid job. Is it possible to have flexibility in entry hours?

    You may submit a request. You are required to inform the dormitory administration of your work situation by reviewing the dormitory agreement.

  • Do you have an age limit for staying in the dormitories?

    We do not have an age limit. However, you are required to present your student certificate and review our agreement document.

  • Do you have any dormitories open during the summer period?

    At the end of the term, an evaluation is conducted and designated dormitories are selected to remain open. The dormitory administration will provide information regarding this matter.

  • Can I apply to more than one of your dormitories?

    You can select up to three dormitories during the application process. You will be directed to the most suitable dormitory based on availability.

  • I am an evening education student. Can I stay at your dormitories?

    Evening education students are accommodated in our dormitories. Based on your preferences during the application process, you will be directed to a dormitory with available capacity.

  • I both study and work. Can I stay at your dormitories?

    In accordance with the dormitory agreement, requests to work while staying at the dormitory must be submitted to the dormitory administration.

  • I am a distance education student. Can I stay at your dormitory?

    Due to legal regulations, we are only able to provide services to students enrolled in formal education institutions.

  • Are we responsible for cleaning the rooms we stay in?

    In secondary education dormitories, room cleaning is done by the cleaning staff, while in higher education dormitories, it is carried out by the students.

  • Do you serve lunch?

    Except for our secondary education dormitories located on the same campus as the school, we do not provide lunch service.

  • Do I need to make any additional payments apart from the dormitory fee (for meals, laundry)?

    All accommodation-related services in our dormitories are included in the dormitory fee.

  • Do your dormitories have internet access?

    Our dormitories provide 24-hour Wi-Fi service.

  • If I come for the seminar, can I stay at the dormitory?

    You can submit your dormitory accommodation request to the relevant dormitory administration for evaluation.
