Within TÜRGEV, a three-stage memorization (Hafiz) program is offered for students who continue their formal education at school while also pursuing their dream of becoming Hafiz.
Stage – Preparation: This stage covers tajweed, recitation practice, and the memorization of surahs included in the curriculum, serving as the student’s preparation for the memorization process. Through tajweed lessons, students learn the theoretical rules; through recitation practice, they apply this knowledge and improve their reading speed. In memorization lessons, they begin to memorize shorter surahs with proper tajweed and recitation.
Stage – Memorization: Every student who succeeds in the preparation stage begins the memorization process with a program tailored to their needs, determined through an interview. The memorization system follows the Ottoman rotation method, while the 10-page system is also applied as an alternative method of memorization.
Stage – Consolidation: This is the stage where students who have completed memorization strengthen and consolidate what they have learned.
Upon completing these stages, students are prepared to take the Hafiz Qualification Exam (Hafızlık Tespit Sınavı) and obtain the official Hafiz Certificate from the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı).
Accommodation Scholarship: Students who meet the requirements stated in the scholarship guidelines are provided with financial support.
Camp Program: Camps are organized one week in winter and two months in summer so that students can focus solely on memorization, socialize with fellow hafiz candidates, and stay motivated through various activities.
Seminar Program: Alongside formal education, students engaged in memorization benefit from seminars designed to enhance their development, refresh and strengthen their knowledge, learn what they do not yet know, and instill and sustain the consciousness of memorization. Through these programs, students meet and learn from distinguished experts in the field.
