Dr. Selim Gençal
Born in Istanbul in 1987, Dr. Selim Gençal completed his undergraduate studies in International Management in Germany. He then earned his master's and doctoral degrees in Business Administration from Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. He focused his academic work primarily on effective management and organizational behavior in civil society organizations.
Following his experience in the private sector, he held senior management positions at various levels in both national and international civil society organizations. During this time, he implemented large-scale humanitarian aid projects and led multidisciplinary teams.
He pioneered the restructuring of project design, financial planning, digital transformation, accountability, and data-based strategic decision-making processes in the institutions he worked for and in the civil society organizations he volunteered for.
Gencal, who was appointed General Manager of TÜRGEV in August 2025, is married and has three children.
