It is a research and education center established by our Foundation with the aim of producing discourse in the fields of social and human sciences, conducting scholarly studies that will enrich the intellectual and value world of the youth of our country, and developing an original perspective on universal issues.
Located in Istanbul’s historic peninsula, the Safveti Pasha Education Campus is housed in a 19th-century lodge building and was established by our Foundation as a research and education center with the aim of producing discourse particularly in the fields of social and human sciences, conducting scholarly studies that will enrich the intellectual and moral world of our youth, and developing an original perspective on universal issues.
Aiming to foster a multidimensional and universal approach to higher education and knowledge production, our campus supports students and researchers who are deeply engaged with both national and global issues, encouraging them to contribute their own insights and develop solution-oriented proposals.
The historic Safveti Pasha lodge building, which now houses the campus, was built in 1845 in Sirkeci by Musa Safveti Pasha, one of the statesmen of the Ottoman Empire, and once served as one of the prominent Khalidi lodges in Istanbul. With its mosque, library, and lodge buildings, the Safveti Pasha Lodge resembled a modest complex and, with the richness and versatility it held in its history, will now continue this legacy by hosting the academic activities of our Foundation as an education campus.
Through reading groups, workshops, conferences, and seminars organized within the Safveti Pasha Education Campus, students pursuing higher education in Türkiye are provided with opportunities to gain academic depth and broaden their conceptual horizons.
The Graduate Researcher Training Scholarship program also aims to contribute to and guide the developing discourse in Türkiye and the world by encouraging research, evaluations, reporting, and publications on topics such as education, environment, agriculture, technology, and women’s policies.
The campus also hosts TÜRGEV Academy, which offers university students a long-term curriculum in social sciences and Islamic sciences.
As one of the key centers of our Foundation’s educational activities, the Safveti Pasha Education Campus continues its mission with the vision of cultivating intellectual curiosity, fostering a spirit of research, and supporting scholarly production among the youth of our country.
