With TÜRGEV, the Tradition of Quran Memorization Becomes the Guarantee of a Strong Türkiye
The Türkiye Youth and Education Service Foundation (TÜRGEV) continues its mission with unwavering determination to preserve the tradition of Quran memorization—one of the most precious legacies of our ancient civilization and national values—and to equip our youth with knowledge, wisdom, and spiritual insight.
As we embrace the spiritual atmosphere of the blessed month of Ramadan, the importance of enlightening young minds with the light of the Quran and strengthening the institution of memorization for the future becomes even more evident. Our greatest aim is to raise guardians of the Quran—not only well-informed, but also deeply devoted individuals.
With this belief, since 2013, TÜRGEV has been offering students enrolled in formal education the opportunity to pursue Quran memorization, while also providing those who have completed their memorization with programs to review and reinforce their knowledge.
The Legacy of Our Ancestors, the Heart of Civilization
On this sacred path, we aim to raise generations who embody the morality of the Quran, who enlighten the ummah with their knowledge, and who are loyally committed to their nation and civilization. In this context, through educational seminars led by experts in the field, we not only transfer knowledge to our students but also instill in them a conscious awareness of what it means to be a hafiz. With our educational philosophy rooted in national and spiritual values, we implement exemplary projects that carry the tradition of Quran memorization into the future.
Toward the Future with Unity, Faith, and Wisdom
To date, nearly 50 students have completed their memorization journey under the roof of TÜRGEV, marking a significant milestone in this sacred effort. In addition, a special memorization project reflecting the spirit of our ancient civilization and the scholarly and spiritual vision of our forebears was meticulously carried out over 75 days. This project enriched the traditional Quran memorization training with music, meaning-interpretation studies, and contextual learning.
Out of 260 applicants, 50 students who successfully passed the interview stage were admitted to the program. At the end of the project, 25 students earned a Certificate of Achievement, while 13 received a Certificate of Participation. This program has become a remarkable example of our mission to raise generations shaped by knowledge and wisdom in alignment with the vision of the "Century of Türkiye."
