Our social responsibility project, carried out under the title “Awareness Campaign Against Cyberbullying” with the slogan “#StopBullying,” aims to reach children, families, and educators through social media platforms and to protect internet users of all ages by empowering them against online threats.
Bullying Causes Trauma
With the advancement of technology and the widespread use of social networks, a culture of anonymous (nameless) attacks has entered our lives. This culture has a negative and damaging impact on many internet users, but it can be especially traumatizing for children and young people, affecting their self-confidence and social relationships.
Bullying, which refers to children being subjected to deliberate, ongoing, and unfair negative behavior by peers or strangers, differs from ordinary disagreements and conflicts. It is a form of violence that must be identified and addressed by adults. Compared to traditional forms of bullying—such as physical and verbal bullying—cyberbullying is often more silent and subtle, making it harder to detect. At this point, having awareness and basic digital literacy is of vital importance.
