The New Destination for Children’s Literature: Mevlanakapı Children’s Library!
Mevlanakapı Children’s Library and Workshop Center Project
With this project, carried out under the TÜRGEV Psychological Counseling Center and supported by the Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA), we aim to ensure that children and young people aged 0–12 living in disadvantaged areas of Istanbul become well-equipped individuals who will be guided in line with their talents in the medium and long term, and to improve their psychological well-being.
Within the Mevlanakapı Children’s Library and Workshop Center, we carry out intelligence and developmental test applications for our participants aged 0–12, various workshops, workshops and seminars for parents, social activities, and psychological support activities.
All services provided within the scope of our project are free of charge, and apart from excursions, all our activities are carried out in our children’s library and workshop center.

(NOTE: The activities listed under the workshop and seminar headings reflect the processes that have been held so far. In the future, other activities with different topics and names will continue actively, depending on the demands and our discretion.)
Our Psychological Support Activities:
Play Therapies: A free service that we prioritize for our children who participate in our activities and are in need, depending on the importance and necessity of the situation.
Parent Academy Seminars: A seminar series we organize to improve the communication and parenting skills of the parents participating in our activities.
Parent Guidance: An appointment is arranged with parents who request a meeting, and the issues they wish to consult on are discussed.
