Established jointly by TÜRGEV and the Ensar Foundation, the TURKEN Foundation operates in the United States and the United Kingdom, providing Turkish students with various opportunities—primarily accommodation and scholarships. It also aims to help students preserve their own culture and values.
The foundation opened its first student residence in New York and built a 200-person complex offering a variety of social and cultural amenities to its guests. TURKEN Foundation currently serves around 50 students through a total of eight student houses in New York, Washington, Boston, Virginia, and Syracuse.
TURKEN Foundation continues to carry out social and cultural activities with students, especially in New York. Every year during Ramadan, it hosts iftar dinners for Muslim students in New York. Additionally, within the scope of the Youth Bridge project, the foundation hosts more than one hundred American guest students in Turkey each year.
With the establishment of TURKEN Foundation UK in 2015, the foundation also began welcoming students in the United Kingdom. Through its head office in London, it offers academic and social support to students coming from Turkey.
