As the Türkiye Youth and Education Service Foundation (TÜRGEV), we consider it a sacred trust to carry the blessed atmosphere of Berat Kandili, enveloped in forgiveness, purification, and divine mercy, into the hearts of our youth as hope and direction through our education-centered approach and our Education Support Programs Center (EDEP). Berat Kandili is one of the blessed nights when a person turns to their Lord, seeks forgiveness, purifies their heart, and submits to their destiny with acceptance. Berat Kandili is an exceptional night when forgiveness and pardon are manifested, and the doors of divine mercy are wide open. This night is a time for self-reflection, confronting one's shortcomings, and sincerely turning to the Merciful Lord. At the same time, Berat Kandili is a merciful divine gift inviting a person to learn from their past and to approach their future with a more sincere intention.
In line with the meaning and wisdom of the Night of Forgiveness (Berat Kandili), we consider it our primary responsibility to carry the call for repentance, seeking forgiveness, and renewal that this blessed night reminds us of into the lives of our youth through our education-centered efforts. For an education not nourished by knowledge, morality, and wisdom cannot perfect a person. The Night of Forgiveness is a divine invitation that reminds us of this truth anew every year.
In our understanding, education is a process of building a foundation that complements the accumulation of knowledge with the wisdom of the heart, the wisdom of the mind, and the will with a sense of responsibility. The call for self-reflection and purification reminded by the Night of Forgiveness guides young people to know themselves, to act with a sense of responsibility, and to keep their consciences alive. We wholeheartedly believe that an educational environment imbued with values plays a fundamental role in raising virtuous generations. Strengthening equal opportunities in education, upholding sensitivity to the rights of others, and keeping the sense of justice alive form the basis of all our work. In keeping with the spirit of Berat Kandili, we consider it our fundamental duty to prepare our youth for moral maturity, a principled stance, and a sense of responsibility, alongside their academic development.
WITH EDEP, WE CARRY THE MESSAGE OF MERCY OF BERAT KANDILI INTO THE FUTURE
Through our Education Support Programs Center (EDEP), we stand by our youth in a wide range of areas, from academic support to guidance, from personal development to spiritual guidance. We strive to carry the call of "forgiveness and renewal" of Berat Kandili into the future of our youth through our work under the umbrella of EDEP.
A youth inspired by the climate of mercy, strengthened by knowledge, and perfected by morality is the greatest blessing that will revitalize society. We pray to our Almighty Lord that this blessed night will bring blessings to our youth, our beloved nation, and the entire Islamic world. By combining the message of forgiveness, hope, and resurrection of Berat Kandili with our vision that places education at its center, we will continue our work with the same sincerity, responsibility, and devotion.
