A Brotherhood Shield for Gaza from TÜRGEV and the Palestine Support Women’s Association

We hosted the delegation of the Algeria based International Union of Women Supporting Jerusalem and Palestine at our foundation. Meeting with our Chair of the Board, Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, the delegation delivered a strong message of solidarity with the Palestinian people, described as the honor of the ummah.

01 October 2025

At this meaningful meeting held in Istanbul, participants discussed the ongoing humanitarian tragedy in Gaza, the oppression faced by women and children, the strengthening of ummah solidarity, and opportunities for cooperation between Turkiye and Algeria.

No Silence, No Stopping for Palestine

Our Chair of the Board, Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, emphasized during the visit that the Palestinian cause is not merely a regional conflict but a test of humanity’s conscience and the faith of the ummah. She shared the following message: “We will not remain silent in the face of this call. Our faith commands us to stand firmly with the oppressed. We will continue to be the voice of Palestine and to defend the honor of Jerusalem.”

Standing with the Oppressed Under the Banner of Brotherhood

As a foundation, we regard Gaza as our own cause. Together with our students, we have organized awareness marches, taken part in aid campaigns, and amplified the voice of Palestine on international platforms. The patience of Palestinian mothers, the dignity of women, and the resilience of youth give us hope and inspiration. We know that if there is oppression by tyrants, there is also accountability before God.

For Jerusalem, Both the Pen and Art Spoke

We have continued our support for Palestine not only on the ground but also through art and digital content. Through the 5N1KUDÜS project, our youth carried the voice of Jerusalem into digital platforms. With the Gaza Istanbul March and the red balloon event held at Çamlıca Mosque, we brought public attention to the tragedy of children who lost their lives in Gaza.

Within the scope of the Compass The Common Direction of Humanity project, Turkish and Palestinian youth stood shoulder to shoulder for Jerusalem. At the Sadakat exhibition we opened at Dolmabahçe Art Gallery, we reflected the spirit of Jerusalem and the resistance of Gaza through Islamic arts, directing the proceeds to aid efforts in Gaza.

Solidarity Through a Sisterhood Ecosystem

Our foundation’s activities, ranging from digital content and art to youth gatherings and international collaborations, enable us to sustain our support for the Palestinian cause across multiple dimensions. Through our sisterhood ecosystem, we stand shoulder to shoulder with the struggle of Palestinian women and youth, making a meaningful contribution to international solidarity.
