Inspired by tradition and shaped by thought, the artistic atmosphere of the GIF Spring Gatherings began on May 26 at the Safveti Paşa Campus. Running until May 27, the event offers participants a rich program ranging from workshops to talks.

This year, we are once again blending our cultural and educational vision for youth with art, bringing together young women at the GIF Safveti Paşa Campus from May 25–27 for the GIF Spring Gatherings, held under the theme “Discover, Experience, Learn.”
With a value-oriented approach that places aesthetic sensitivity at its center, this gathering provides young people with space to both enhance their creative skills and deepen their intellectual capacity. With the participation of our Chair of the Board, Attorney Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, the event will feature traditional arts workshops and culture- and knowledge-focused talks that strengthen a culture of collective creation.
A Journey Beginning in the Workshop, Deepening in Conversation
Throughout the program, participants will have opportunities to create in various traditional arts workshops, including felt-making, punch needle, woodblock printing, marbling (ebru), and watercolor. The talk sessions—featuring our Chair of the Board, Attorney Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, along with Nazan Yalçınkaya, Duygu Orak, and Yasemin Darbaz Karaca—will offer in-depth discussions on art, social responsibility, entrepreneurship, architecture, and intellectual production.
For us, the GIF Spring Gatherings are not just an event, but a multidimensional space for learning and growth that we open to young people. Each day’s program is shaped around a different theme, culminating in a music-filled closing event.
Open-Hearted to Beautiful Works
Last year, we hosted 1,200 young people at the gathering, and this year we expect over 1,500 participants. Our attendees range from university students to young women seeking to develop themselves in the field of culture and art, as well as volunteer instructors.
With an inclusive structure that especially supports the social and cultural participation of young women, we stand as a trusted, high-quality, and visionary youth platform in the public eye. In this art-filled environment woven with values, we welcome everyone to join us under one roof at GIF Spring Gatherings ’25, where young minds meet and create together.
