Women’s Day Special: An Unforgettable Concert in Malatya by the GİF Orchestra
As TÜRGEV, we organized a meaningful event that blends the wisdom, devotion, and resilience of Turkish women with the elegance of art, celebrating the deep-rooted heritage of our civilization. The Güzel İşler Fabrikası (GİF) Orchestra crowned March 8 International Women’s Day with the unifying power of art, delivering an unforgettable concert in Malatya.
Held during the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan and hosted by the Malatya Metropolitan Municipality, our GİF Orchestra touched hearts with melodies infused with love for the nation and homeland. Once again, art resonated on stage as a bearer of our national and spiritual values.
In his opening speech, Malatya Metropolitan Mayor Sami Er emphasized that women are the foundation of our civilization and the most vital cornerstone in raising generations, highlighting how the GİF Orchestra keeps this noble heritage alive through art.
The National Spirit of Art and the Spiritual Strength of Women
Composed entirely of female musicians, our GİF Orchestra is not just a music ensemble, but a cultural and artistic movement enabling women to discover themselves and be empowered through national and spiritual values.
Our Chairwoman, Av. Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, shared her reflections on the event:
“Throughout history, Turkish women have been the cornerstone not only of their families but of our nation, with their faith, courage, and devotion. At TÜRGEV, we continue to keep this noble heritage alive through the elegance of art, contributing to the vision of the ‘Century of Türkiye.’
Believing that art must be intertwined with national spirit and spiritual awareness, TÜRGEV founded the GİF Women’s Orchestra in Vezneciler on June 2, 2023. This special group of 24 women musicians from diverse educational backgrounds has reached more than 1,500 art lovers so far, continuing to share the unifying power of art with society.”
