TÜRGEV Took Its Place at a Historic Gathering: We Gathered with Thousands of People on the Galata Bridge

On the first day of the new year, Istanbul hosted a meaningful solidarity gathering. Organized under the leadership of the Turkey Youth Foundation (TÜGVA) and with the participation of more than 400 non-governmental organizations, including TÜRGEV and the National Will Platform, thousands of people came together on the Galata Bridge to support Palestine. Growing under the slogan “Yesterday Hagia Sophia, Today Umayyad, Tomorrow Al-Aqsa,” this event became a powerful outcry to the world against the ongoing oppression in Gaza.

TÜRGEV Stood on the Galata Bridge for Gaza

As the TÜRGEV family, led by our Chairwoman Av. Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, we took our place on the Galata Bridge with the slogan “A Sun is Rising.” Sharing live footage from the bridge with thousands of attendees using the hashtag #ForFairFuture, we amplified the voice for Palestine’s freedom on social media as well.

We congratulate all our stakeholders who took part in this meaningful gathering and once again express our support for Palestine’s struggle for freedom. We firmly believe that the spirit of revival, which began in Hagia Sophia, will spread from Palestine to the world.
