Welcoming Granada’s Youth in Istanbul
In cooperation with the Granada Mosque Foundation and the Andalusia Education Foundation, TÜRGEV hosted students and educators from the city of Granada, Spain, in Istanbul. During this gathering, young participants had the opportunity to witness the enduring traces of Islamic civilization firsthand and to cultivate a shared understanding on identity, belonging, and cultural heritage.

The Shared Language of Art and Culture
The program began with a TÜRGEV introductory presentation and a breakfast. Through workshops on Turkish coffee, Anatolian printing techniques, and traditional arts, participants experienced Turkey’s rich cultural heritage up close. The use of Andalusian inspired colors in these activities brought together the aesthetic values of two civilizations in harmony. At KADEM’s Thought Workshop, young people from different geographies exchanged ideas, contributing to the formation of a common vision for the future.

A Gathering that Strengthened Bonds of Affection
Conversations with TÜRGEV volunteers fostered intercultural understanding among the young participants and laid the groundwork for lasting friendships. Our representatives emphasized that this meaningful journey from Granada to Istanbul reinforced the identity and civilizational awareness of Muslim youth living in Europe and encouraged unity around shared values.

A New Chapter in International Youth Solidarity
With the participation of 11 students and 2 teachers from Granada, the program opened a new door for international solidarity and cooperation among future leaders. At the conclusion of the program, participants received certificates symbolizing the beginning of a strong bond between the two communities.
