Following the 6.6 magnitude earthquake in İzmir, numerous search and rescue teams and civil society volunteers mobilized to deliver aid to the region.

As TÜRGEV, we were also there to help heal the wounds of our brothers and sisters affected by the earthquake. Our team, working in coordination with the İzmir Governorship, was present in the city to meet identified needs.
Upon the instruction of our Chairwoman of the Board, Fatmanur Altun, we allocated our higher education dormitory in Bornova for the use of earthquake victims.
To help ease the suffering of those affected, our team delivered prepared aid to the region with a vehicle sent from Istanbul. Thanks to the dedicated contributions of TÜRGEV volunteers, the urgent needs of citizens staying in tents were met.
We continue to fully support the official teams working tirelessly in the earthquake zone with all our resources.
