President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with students affiliated with the TURKEN Foundation and addressed the participants at a dinner held at the Intercontinental Hotel in London.
The TURKEN Foundation UK Traditional Dinner was attended by Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar, Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik, Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci, Minister of Justice Abdulhamit Gül, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak, Minister of the Interior Süleyman Soylu, Minister of Culture and Tourism Numan Kurtulmuş, Minister of National Defense Nurettin Canikli, Presidential Deputy Secretary-General and Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın, TÜRGEV Chairwoman Dr. Fatmanur Altun, TURKEN Foundation President Behram Turan, executives from the Ensar Foundation, board members of both foundations, as well as leading Turkish and Turkish-British businesspeople, community leaders, and representatives of civil society organizations.
Addressing TURKEN students, President Erdoğan said:
“After completing your education in a manner worthy of a TURKEN student, I expect you to return to our country even better equipped, to shoulder the development drive of Türkiye and support it. I see this ideal, this awareness, and this determination in the eyes of each of you here. I know that TURKEN students are as focused on the cause of a great and strong Türkiye as an arrow locked on its target. What makes a person great is undoubtedly their thoughts. As long as a person can dream, they live, they are vibrant. We will never allow anyone to undermine our courage. Dear young people, I want to repeat a principle I have always emphasized, one that I hope will serve as an example to you and a guiding light on your path: Remember, if there is faith, there is possibility. If one dedicates themselves to a cause, there is no obstacle they cannot overcome. The key to success lies in the determination, perseverance, and discipline you display in pursuing your ideals.”
