Our TÜRGEV Compass Achievement Scholarship recipient and TÜRGEV Kartal Hayriye Cemal Gülbaran Secondary Education Dormitory student, Reyyan Çifci, has earned the right to represent Türkiye in Ohio, USA, after successfully completing the ISEF interview following her TÜBİTAK Türkiye award.
Reyyan Çifci, a Compass Achievement Scholar and student at Kartal Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, achieved a Türkiye ranking in TÜBİTAK with her project titled “Future Smart Biosensor Bandage with Potential Artificial Extracellular Matrix and Bioactive Wound Dressing: A Novel Topical Agent-Assisted Hydrogel Synthesis, Characterization, and Investigation of Action Mechanism.” She then successfully passed the interview for the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), the world’s most prestigious science and engineering competition, and will represent Türkiye in this major event to be held in May in Ohio.
Her project focuses on synthesizing, characterizing, and investigating the mechanism of action of a new hydrogel for wound healing processes. We are immensely proud of her for carrying her TÜBİTAK success to the international stage and believe she will represent our country in the best possible way in May.
