The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) has awarded funding to our student Başak Sürer’s research project, which aims to develop a nature-friendly urbanization model around the Asi River in Antakya, under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A – University Students Research Projects Support Program.

From TÜRGEV Dormitory to TÜBİTAK
Başak Sürer, a senior student in the Department of Landscape Architecture at Akdeniz University, aims in her project to conduct sustainable landscape analyses around the Asi River in Antakya, which is intertwined with the city’s historical and cultural fabric, and to develop nature-friendly settlement models. The project also seeks to generate data in relation to climate change, water resource conservation, and ecological balance.
As the TÜRGEV family, we continue to encourage especially our female students to produce work in science, environment, and technology-oriented fields. In this context, we congratulate our student from the Fatma Aliye Hanım Higher Education Girls’ Dormitory, Büşra Sürer, for her achievements.
