With the opening of six new dormitories, TÜRGEV has increased its student capacity from 9,234 to 12,921. In the 2018–2019 academic year, the foundation continues to support young women’s education across 33 provinces in Turkey, operating 63 dormitories—11 for secondary education and 52 for higher education—and serving more than 10,000 students alongside the thousands of graduates it has produced over the past 22 years.
During the registration and interview period, TÜRGEV has set up 40 information stands in 19 provinces, where parents can learn about the foundation’s activities and operations, and students can receive introductions to the dormitories. Promotional brochures and detailed registration information are also provided at these stands.
Additionally, nationwide outdoor advertising, social media campaigns, and online promotions have been launched to make it easier for students to find accommodation. Through the TÜRGEV website, a 24/7 live chat service and a support hotline allow both students and parents to have their questions about the dormitories answered promptly—whether online or by phone.
Students from across Turkey can apply to TÜRGEV dormitories. For registration, applicants are contacted by phone and invited for an interview, which they can attend either online or in person, before completing their enrollment.
With an intensive and productive registration and interview period, TÜRGEV continues its mission—considered a national duty—to ensure that young women can pursue their education in a safe and supportive environment.
