The 3rd National Student Congress was held on October 13–14 at the SETA Istanbul Conference Hall.

The 3rd National Student Congress of TÜRGEV Platform Studies began with an opening speech by our Chairperson, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatmanur Altun. Introducing Platform Studies, one of our projects that contribute to students’ academic development, Altun emphasized that this year’s congress theme was “change and transformation” and discussed its connection to the spirit of our time. The congress, in which we listened to presentations on various topics, was held over two days at SETA.
The first session of the first day, the Social Sciences Platform, was chaired by our Chairperson. In this session, Fatih Belgi presented “Progressive Historical Design and Its Critique in the Novel Yaban,” Fatma Nur Eroğlu presented “The Transformation of the Concept of Democracy into Digital Democracy and the Perspective of University Students Studying in Istanbul,” and Zeynep Ayşenur Özusta presented “An Examination of PTSD Symptoms in Victims of the Marmara Earthquake After the Maraş Earthquake.”
The second session, the Medicine and Health Platform, was chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammed İkbal Alp. Presentations in this session included “Current Approaches to the Diagnosis of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder” by Feyza Akgün, “New Generation Treatment Targets for Familial Mediterranean Fever” by Rabia Bayrak, and “An Assessment of the Relationship Between Diabetes and Cancer” by Beyza Yaman.
The final session of the first day was dedicated to the Law Platform, chaired by Res. Asst. Celil Akdoğmuş. In this session, Zeynep Yıldız presented “Unjust Provocation in the Crime of Intentional Killing in the Turkish Penal Code,” Ali Emir Birer presented “The Criminal Liability of Artificial Intelligence,” and Şeymanur Hazine presented “A Legal Perspective on Türkiye’s Cross-Border Operations.”
The first session of the second day belonged to the Architecture and Engineering Platform and was chaired by Lecturer Zehra Ergül Kaya. In this session, Rümeysa Kara presented “The Impact of Social Media Use on Interior Design,” and Fatıma Zehra Akgün presented “Factors Affecting the Architectural Context in Sarajevo.”
The second session of the second day continued with the Social Sciences Platform chaired by Prof. Dr. Ramazan Aras. In this session, Sümeyye Davutoğlu presented “An Examination of Turkish Language Learning Resources for Uyghur Women Living in Türkiye,” Sümeyye Tura presented “Online Qur’an Memorization Education Platforms in Türkiye: Opportunities and Challenges,” and Zeynep Sude Güven presented “Examining the School Adaptation Processes of Hearing-Impaired Children Through the Concepts of Sociality and Communication.”
The congress concluded with the presentation of certificates by our General Manager, Makbule Çabuk.
