The Çifci Siblings Make Us Proud on the International Stage
Our Pusula Talent Management Center scholars, Reyyan and Furkan Çifci, have made us proud with their outstanding international achievements in science and mathematics.
Our 10th-grade student Furkan Çifci achieved remarkable success at the Asian Mathematics Olympiad Finals held in Tokyo, Japan. He won the International Star Award and also secured the Gold Medal in the 10th-grade category, bringing home two awards for Turkey.
Following the competition, Furkan expressed his joy:
“I am very happy to return to my country with two awards. I would like to thank TÜRGEV for supporting me throughout the year.”
Furkan added further to his achievements by winning the Balkan Regional First Prize, the World Third Prize, and another Gold Medal at the World Mathematics Competition.
His sister, Reyyan Çifci, recently placed fourth worldwide at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2025, the most prestigious high school-level science competition in the world, held in Ohio, USA. She was also awarded a special jury prize.
Reyyan’s project an AI-powered smart biosensor bandage designed to enhance wound healing processes stood out as an innovative contribution. Building on her success at TÜBİTAK, she carried her achievement to the international stage, showcasing the contributions of Turkish youth to science.
Our Chairperson of the Board, Atty. Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, shared her thoughts on the siblings’ success:
“The fact that Furkan and Reyyan have represented our country in the best way on international platforms is a great source of pride for us. Their success reflects our nation’s potential in science and education to the world. We wholeheartedly believe that with determination and discipline, our youth will build the Turkey of tomorrow on strong foundations.”
