The Social Innovation Youth Movement Project Took Place in Albania
The Turkey Youth and Education Service Foundation (TÜRGEV) has implemented an important project aimed at increasing young people’s awareness in the fields of social innovation and entrepreneurship, and enhancing their innovative thinking skills. Supported by the Turkish National Agency and carried out in partnership with the Youth Activities Center, the project took place in Durrës, Albania.
Within the scope of the project, participants gained different perspectives on social innovation and entrepreneurship, working on developing innovative solutions to societal challenges. During the organized workshops, participants were provided with information on the fundamental principles of social innovation and the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Participants visited Durrës Aleksandër Moisiu University, where they observed the academic environment firsthand and exchanged ideas with university officials and academics. In addition, a visit to Qendra Art dhe Aktivizëm, an important center in the field of social entrepreneurship, offered detailed insights into the mission, objectives, and development process of social enterprise projects.
To gain a deeper understanding of Albania’s historical and cultural fabric, participants also took a city tour, visiting significant sites such as Durrës Castle, the Durrës Archaeological Museum, the Durrës Amphitheatre, and the Byzantine Forum.
As TÜRGEV, we will continue to implement projects that provide young people with international experience, enable them to discover different cultures, and develop their innovative thinking skills.
