SOCIAWARE: Game Software School for the Social Integration of Disadvantaged Youth ERASMUS+ project’s Portugal phase took place in the cities of Lousada and Porto.

Together with our team from Türkiye, Germany, and Portugal, we explored Lousada and Porto to learn about Portugal’s cultural heritage. In Lousada, we visited the Romanesque Route Interpretation Centre; in Porto, we had the opportunity to visit the Game Development Centre and Heritage Monuments. In Lixa Felgueiras, we experienced the “Includoteca” project and gained knowledge about board games. After completing the Portugal phase, the project participants returned to their home countries.

Thus, the SOCIAWARE: Game Software School for the Social Integration of Disadvantaged Youth ERASMUS+ project has been completed. Participants reinforced the knowledge they gained in the 184-hour online courses at Bahçeşehir University — including Script and Story Design, Technical Software Development, Animation and Cinematography, Game Publishing, Graphic Design, and Modelling — through visits and experiences in various countries. In the next phase, they will continue collaborating to develop joint game software and design new projects.
