As part of the Youth and Sports Ministry Support Program, the spring semester classes at TÜRGEV Academy supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports are ongoing. The 14-week program is held on weekends at the Vezneciler Youth Center.
At TÜRGEV Academy, students receive objective knowledge and values education in the fields of Islamic Sciences and Social Sciences. The program’s traditional winter camp was held this year in Erzurum Palandöken.
Raising pioneering young women who know their essence and civilization
Aiming to raise young women who recognize their own essence and civilization, and who are pioneering and qualified at both national and international levels, the TÜRGEV Academy program combined its book-reading themed camp with winter sports. As part of the program, participants visited the Congress and National Struggle Museum, Üç Kümbetler, Çifte Minareli Medrese, Abdurrahman Gazi Tomb, Erzurum Houses, Taşhan, Lalapaşa Mosque, Grand Mosque, and Yakutiye Madrasa. Poet and writer Nurullah Genç met with students for an engaging talk on “The Impact of Poetry and Literature on Youth.”
On the third day of the camp, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Bayrakçeken renowned in the scientific community for her work on nanomaterials and recipient of the 2017 TÜBA Young Scientist Award—met with the students. Following her comprehensive presentation on “Science and Technology,” she answered students’ questions.
Visit from Chairwoman Dr. Fatmanur Altun to Erzurum Palandöken
TÜRGEV Chairwoman Dr. Fatmanur Altun, Board Member Tülay Kalav, General Manager Oktay Altındiş, and AK Party Erzurum MP Zehra Taşkesenlioğlu joined the students, sharing their experiences and offering advice on future plans.
The TÜRGEV Academy winter camp concluded with the taking of souvenir photos.
Upon completion of the program, successful students will be awarded participation certificates approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Youth Projects Support Program, and TÜRGEV.
