Our foundation will support researchers through the Graduate Researcher Training Scholarship, working together in research and development programs across various fields of expertise—from social sciences to education and cultural policies, from environmental issues to technology, and from science to the arts.
Our aim is to contribute to the production of sustainable content and policies needed both by our country and the world.
Eligibility Criteria
Students enrolled in thesis-based Master's or Doctoral programs who have completed their coursework
Researchers who have completed their Ph.D. no more than two years ago
Application Requirements
Must be a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye
Must be enrolled in a thesis-based Master’s or Doctoral program at a public university or in a fully funded program at a foundation university in Türkiye, or must have completed a Ph.D. within the last two years
A minimum Academic Postgraduate Education Exam (ALES) score of 75
A minimum score of 80 on the Foreign Language Exam (YDS) or its equivalent in other recognized exams
Minimum GPA of 3.00 for undergraduate studies and 3.50 for postgraduate studies
Not older than 30 for Master’s applicants and 35 for Doctoral applicants
Must not be receiving another binding scholarship from any institution or organization
Must not be employed full-time anywhere
Must pass either the Arabic or English exam administered by our foundation
Documents Required During the Application Process
Proof of enrollment in a thesis-based Master’s or Doctoral program, or for Ph.D. graduates, a provisional graduation certificate or diploma
Official university-approved transcripts for current students
Valid exam results from ALES, YDS, YÖKDİL, IELTS, TOEFL, etc., taken within the last 5 years
Two letters of recommendation
Copies of any published research, articles, or reviews in national or international peer-reviewed journals (if available)
Copies of any full-text or abstract papers or posters presented at national or international scientific meetings (if available)
Copies of exhibited, copyrighted, or published works in the arts (if available)
Statement of purpose

Documents Required from Accepted Scholarship Recipients

Two recent passport-sized photos
Proof of residence
Income statement (SGK records: 4A, 4B, or 4C)
Criminal record certificate
Health certificate (can be obtained from a family physician)
Bank account details

Signed copy of the scholarship commitment letter provided by our foundation
Obligations
In the event of a documented force majeure (e.g., health, disaster, death), scholarship recipients who suspend their education will have their cases reviewed by the Scholarship Executive Board.
Applicants must provide accurate and complete information. Any false statement will result in scholarship termination and repayment of previous amounts received.
Researchers are expected to conduct literature reviews, follow current studies, prepare reports, and contribute academically and intellectually through individual and group work under the guidance of the Scholarship Advisory and Executive Board.
Doctoral candidates who have passed the qualification stage or Ph.D. graduates may be assigned to specialized projects and be exempt from certain training processes.
Master's students will receive 1,250 TL/month for 12 months; Doctoral students and recent Ph.D. graduates will receive 2,500 TL/month for 12 months.
In approved cases, recipients may stay in TÜRGEV dormitories free of charge during the scholarship period.
The scholarship period is 12 months and may be renewed at the discretion of our foundation.
The foundation reserves the right to cancel the scholarship at any time without providing justification.
