Students from our TÜRGEV secondary education dormitories came together to compete in a Taekwondo tournament, showing great dedication and effort. With a total of 45 students participating across 8 different weight categories, they became a source of pride through their passion for sports and their discipline.

Since 2022, through the Taekwondo workshops held in our dormitories, we have been training licensed athletes registered with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Starting from the white belt, our students advance through regular belt exams all the way to the black belt. Under the leadership of our instructor, Yaprak Avcı, this program fosters both the physical and mental development of our athletes.
In the tournament, officiated by 10 referees from the Istanbul Taekwondo Provincial Representation, our students showcased on the mat what they had learned in training. Those who placed were awarded medals, and the high level of participation and enthusiasm at the event has strengthened our hopes for the future.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Turkish Taekwondo Federation and the Istanbul Taekwondo Provincial Representation for their contributions to this valuable event. We remain fully committed to ensuring that our youth grow into disciplined, healthy individuals who live in close connection with sports.
