As the TÜRGEV family, we commemorated the late Fatma Göksu with prayers and gratitude at the Fatma Göksu Female Student Dormitory in Üsküdar, which proudly bears her name.
On Wednesday, January 7, we hosted a meaningful memorial dinner accompanied by a recitation of the Holy Qur’an and a collective khatm (Qur’anic completion) prayer, with the participation of our Chairwoman Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz and the esteemed Göksu Family.
Throughout her life, Fatma Göksu was a devoted and selfless mother who became a role model for her family and community through her patience, compassion, and prayers. Although she did not have the opportunity to receive a formal education herself, she made every effort for her children—and future generations—to have access to quality education. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and dignity continues to touch the lives of every student residing in the dormitory that carries her name.
During this meaningful gathering, we once again remembered Fatma Göksu with heartfelt prayers as a valued mother and benefactor who left a lasting mark on the lives of young women. We sincerely thank all our guests who joined us on this special occasion and shared in our remembrance.

may her soul rest in peace and her place be in Paradise.
