We Held the Award Ceremony for Our AI-Powered Visual Design Contest
The winners of the AI-Powered Visual Design Contest, organized to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic, have been announced. The contest finalists came together at a ceremony held on Wednesday evening, February 21, at the GİF Safveti Paşa Campus.
More than 300 works were submitted to the contest, which carried the theme “Türkiye’s Second Century.” Young participants aged 18–29 used generative AI tools to envision the future. Using platforms such as Midjourney, DALL·E, and Bing Create, contestants produced visuals offering future perspectives ranging from space mining to sustainable agriculture, from smart cities to renewable energy sources, and from space colonies to social robots.
Entries were evaluated by a distinguished jury consisting of Fehmi Bilge (Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Türkiye Design Foundation), Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır (Chairperson of the Board, T3 Foundation), Hatice Özdemir Tülün (Founder, Portakal Ağacı platform), Hakkı Alkan (Founder, ShiftDelete), Harun Tan (Creative Director), and Ahmet Oğuz Koca (Software Developer and Entrepreneur). The jury assessed the works based on prompt quality, visual quality, relevance to the theme, and originality, ultimately determining the winners.
During the award night, the finalists spoke about the inspirations behind their applications, how they refined their prompts, the role of AI-powered design tools in their creative process, and how their designs evolved from concept to completion.
Our General Manager, Makbule Çabuk, expressed her delight in envisioning Türkiye’s second century together with our youth. She shared her satisfaction with the strong interest in what was the first AI-Powered Visual Design Contest ever held in Türkiye, and highlighted the common themes she observed in the submitted works. She noted that in the visions of our young participants, our historical heritage continues to endure, a human-centered approach remains central, and there is a strong emphasis on expectations and aspirations for technological advancements. She emphasized the importance of a generation representing the future of our country imagining dreams that place our geography at the center of the world, noting that this vision will shape our future.
We extend our sincere thanks to all the contestants who took part in this journey with us.
