We were in Kahramanmaraş, one of the provinces in our country most affected by the earthquake described as the disaster of the century.
We set up our tables and activity areas in the Türkoğlu, Elbistan, and central districts of Kahramanmaraş.
Our volunteers played many games with the local children, from face painting to sack races, from tug-of-war to the spoon-and-egg game.
As part of our organization, Sercan Aydemir, also known as Spiderman, came to the region and expressed that playing games with the children before iftar and being able to make them smile, even a little, was very precious and gratifying for him.
Bahri Gören, the driver of the Brotherhood Table truck, said that he has covered countless miles in the transport sector for twenty years, but has never had such an enjoyable journey, and that sharing an iftar with our earthquake-stricken brothers and sisters made him forget all the fatigue of the road.
Our volunteers will continue the journey of the Brotherhood Table and will meet with children and their families in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş on Monday, April 17.
