Between June 6-9, as part of the Etnospor Culture Festival, we hosted country presentations by our students from different cultures in TÜRGEV’s tent, located within the Solidarity Oba.
In addition to presentations on Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tanzania, Palestine, and East Turkestan, we also brought the workshops of the Güzel İşler Fabrikası (GİF) to the festival.
Over four days, we engaged with participants of all ages and professions, offering musical performances with instruments such as the dombra, saz, tambur, and daf, as well as creative workshops including felt brooch making, watercolor painting, and punch needle embroidery. Researcher and Author Halis Özdemir joined us for a talk titled “What Does East Turkestan Mean to Us?”
Among our esteemed visitors were World Ethnosport Confederation President Bilal Erdoğan, our Chairwoman Av. Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz, Istanbul MP Şengül Karslı, and our Board of Trustees Member Ahmet Bayraktutar. The festival proved to be a highly valuable experience for fostering intercultural interaction among our students.
