Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz was born in Istanbul in 1981. She graduated from Kartal Anatolian Imam Hatip High School in 1999 and completed her undergraduate studies at Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law in 2003. In 2013, she earned her master’s degree in International Law and Human Rights Law from Fordham University in New York. She continues her academic work in the fields of Constitutional Law and Human Rights Law.
Between 2004 and 2008, she served as the chairperson of the Board of the Kartal Anatolian Imam Hatip High School Alumni and Members Association. Since 2018, she has been a board member of the Kartal Education Foundation. Since 2014, she has taken part in various roles and projects within numerous non-governmental organizations, particularly TÜRGEV, and continues to provide voluntary legal consultancy services.
Yılmaz is married and a mother of three.
