The Erasmus+ Youth Accreditation France Professional Development Activity took place in Strasbourg, France, with the support of the Turkish National Agency and in cooperation with COJEP.
In this first edition of the mobility program, 20 youth workers and NGO volunteers contributing to the participation of disadvantaged young people in civil society took part.
Throughout the project, participants gained theoretical knowledge on topics such as civil society theory, communication and networking activities, social work skills, social dialogue, social entrepreneurship, the role and legal framework of civil society, public–NGO relations, strategic planning, and the EU accession process. They also engaged in practical activities aimed at improving their training skills, civil society dialogue, and effective volunteering, while conducting research and attending site visits.
Visits included the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, the European Youth Centre, the European Court of Human Rights, the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye, and the Türkiye Maarif Foundation. Participants had the opportunity to observe EU cooperation projects and follow the EU’s NGO activities on site. They also took part in various historical and cultural excursions in France, including the Alsace–Lorraine region.
By successfully completing the project and receiving their Youthpass certificates, participants are expected to take part in more qualified and effective civil society work in Türkiye and to take the lead in international projects by building on the skills and experiences they gained during the program.
