Social Innovation Youth Movement Project Took Place in Albania
The Turkey Youth and Education Service Foundation (TÜRGEV) has implemented a significant project aimed at increasing young people’s awareness in the fields of social innovation and entrepreneurship, while fostering their innovative thinking skills. Supported by the Turkish National Agency and carried out in partnership with the Youth Activities Center, the project took place in Durrës, Albania.
Within the scope of the project, participants gained new perspectives on social innovation and entrepreneurship, working on initiatives to develop innovative solutions to social issues. During the workshops, they were introduced to the core principles of social innovation and gained insights into the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Participants visited Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës, where they observed the academic environment firsthand and engaged in knowledge exchange with university officials and academics. They also visited Qendra Art dhe Aktivizem, an important center for social entrepreneurship, where they learned in detail about the development process, mission, and objectives of various social enterprise projects.
To better understand Albania’s historical and cultural heritage, participants joined a city tour that included key landmarks such as Durrës Castle, the Durrës Archaeological Museum, the Durrës Amphitheater, and the Byzantine Forum.
As TÜRGEV, we will continue to create opportunities for young people to gain international experience, explore different cultures, and develop innovative thinking skills through our ongoing projects.
