“Soapy Hands” Project Trainings Continue

As part of the “Soapy Hands” project, students from the Medical and Healthcare Platform of Diyarbakır Sırrı Hanım Higher Education Girls’ Dormitory visited Sur Aksalkım Mezrası Primary School in Diyarbakır, where they provided training on hygiene and oral health.

The project, launched to help children develop the habit of handwashing and toothbrushing from an early age, included practical demonstrations on how to wash hands correctly, how and how often to brush teeth, and the potential problems that can arise from neglecting these practices.

Students at the school were given hygiene kits containing toothpaste, a toothbrush, soap, a comb, a nail clipper set, a lice hairband, and a lice badge. The event was lively and colorful, with the children’s excitement clearly visible. Accompanied by a clown, the students played games to upbeat music, enjoying themselves while also learning the importance of hygiene.
