TÜRGEV Emine Erdoğan Secondary Education Dormitory Year-End Workshop Exhibition Opened

The exhibition opening in Siirt was attended by Siirt Provincial Director of National Education İsa Güneş, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Siirt University Prof. Dr. Hasan Basri Memduhoğlu, local NGO representatives, the families of our students, and many residents of Siirt.

The event began with a live performance by music workshop students, followed by a sign language demonstration and an Ebru art show, both of which were highly appreciated by visitors. The students, excited to present the works they created throughout the year during their workshop training, were visibly delighted.

Many students, experiencing art for the first time in these workshops, showcased hundreds of works in various fields: photography, Ebru, painting, oil painting, collage, pointillism, vector art in the art workshop; guitar, bağlama, bendir in the music workshop; as well as handicrafts, jewelry design, and knitting.

Students' works received great acclaim from visitors

Sümeyye Akbey, a participant in the painting workshop, shared that she wanted to depict her dream of becoming a pilot through her brushstrokes. Mizgin Bulat, who took her first step toward becoming a photographer in the photography workshop, said that having her first works appreciated gave her the courage to pursue her dreams. Students who participated in sign language training performed a meaningful show for an accessible future, while those introduced to Ebru art for the first time in the workshops presented a captivating demonstration.

Teachers who worked closely with the students throughout the year were also present at the exhibition. Art Teacher Emel Elçi noted, "In addition to spending their free time productively in workshops, students began to discover their talents according to their own interests." Music Teacher Vedat Kayran expressed the pride he felt as an instructor after the successful musical performances of the students.

Siirt Public Education Center Director Saraç Batur stated, "Workshop classes are an important step for the development and social integration of students. Their strong participation and the success they have shown in this exhibition have made us very happy and encouraged us to plan a more comprehensive program for next year."
TÜRGEV Siirt Emine Erdoğan Secondary Education Girls’ Dormitory Director Selva Sevinçer added, "In the workshops, our students were introduced to various branches of art. They expressed their dreams through art, gained new perspectives for self-discovery and self-expression. As seen in our exhibition, the workshops have been very fruitful."

The exhibition remained open to visitors throughout the day and concluded with students taking commemorative photos with their works and friends.
