As TÜRGEV, we successfully concluded the From Idea to Action Youth Workshop, which we implemented within the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme with the support of the Turkish National Agency, through a closing ceremony held at the GİF Safvetipaşa Training Campus.
19 December 2025
Between 10 and 18 December, we brought together young people from Türkiye, North Macedonia, and Italy on a shared learning platform, supporting them in developing projects that transform ideas into social benefit.
Throughout the workshop, we worked with participants on the principles of project cycle management. A comprehensive learning process was carried out, covering needs analysis, goal setting, methodology development, implementation, and evaluation. The diversity of participants from different disciplines and cultural backgrounds enriched the process and enhanced its overall impact.
A Learning Journey from Ideas to Projects
We do not view youth work as being limited to idea generation alone. We believe that ideas gain real value when they are transformed into projects through responsibility, methodology, and a focus on social impact. Designed with this approach, the From Idea to Action Youth Workshop enabled young people to structure their ideas and turn them into feasible, sustainable, and impactful projects.
During the workshop, five project teams developed initiatives addressing social issues and presented their projects to the jury on the final day. These presentations marked an important milestone, demonstrating how participants transformed the knowledge and skills they acquired into tangible outcomes.
Closing Remarks from Our General Manager, Dr. Selim Gençal
At the closing ceremony, our General Manager, Dr. Selim Gençal, shared TÜRGEV’s perspective on youth work with the following remarks:
“We do not see youth work as limited to producing ideas alone. We value the transformation of ideas into projects through methodology and responsibility, and their ability to create real impact in the field.”
Dr. Gençal emphasized that project development is not merely a technical process, but also a responsibility centered on creating social impact.
International Recognition with Youthpass Certificates
All participants who successfully completed the programme earned the Youthpass Certificate, officially recognized by the European Commission. These certificates serve as tangible proof that participants gained an international learning experience within the Erasmus+ framework.
Building the Future Together
At TÜRGEV, we approach youth work not through short-term outcomes, but with a long-term development perspective. We prioritize preparing young people not only for today’s needs, but also for the responsibilities of tomorrow. This approach reflects the foundation’s 30 years of experience and unwavering commitment.
We would like to sincerely thank all our trainers, team members, and the young participants who co-created this learning environment with us throughout the From Idea to Action Youth Workshop.
We remain firmly committed to supporting young people in becoming more competent, more visible, and more effective on an international scale.
